SAN ANTONIO — An investigation is now underway after a person was killed on a far southeast side highway early Saturday morning.
According to fire officials, someone called 911 and reported the crash around 12:30 a.m. off Highway 87 and FM 1516 near China Grove.
Bexar County Sheriff's deputies confirmed a person died in the crash, but it's unclear how the crash happened.
We know the driver did remain at the scene. BCSO shut down Hwy 87 while they conduct their investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
