Bexar County detectivessay two serial robbers have been taken off the streets.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Anthony Townsend and 17-year-old Brandon Washington have both been arrested.
They say the two were behind a violent home invasion that took place in early December. Detectives believe both teens beat up and robbed an elderly man in the Glen Shadow.
Townsend is also believed to be linked to drive-by shootings, burglaries and robberies in Selma, Terrell Hills and Converse.
And apparently it wasn't just enough to be terrorizing the surrounding areas of San Antonio. They felt the need to go up into the Austin area, says Detective Louis Antu with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
TheAustin homeowner was inside his residence, armed with a shotgun, waiting for the teenagers after he heard them trying to kick in his door.
The pair was arrested shortly thereafter.
