Bexar County Sheriff's Office operating as normal despite nationwide telecommunications outage

The outage is mainly affecting AT&T customers but Verizon and T-Mobile customers are also reporting interruptions.

SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is reporting Thursday they are still operating as normal despite a nationwide. telecommunications outage.

The outage is mainly affecting AT&T customers but Verizon and T-Mobile customers are also reporting interruptions. The outages began at approximately 3:30 a.m. ET. The carrier has more than 240 million subscribers, the country's largest.

BCSO posted this on it's Facebook page Thursday morning.

"We are aware of an AT&T system outage. However, we are still operational and fully prepared to protect and serve Bexar County. Your ability to communicate on AT&T devices may be temporarily disabled, but you can use WiFi to communicate."
