SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio staple for more than five decades, Bobbie's Cafe and Pie Bar, is opening up two new locations in San Antonio.

The original location of Bobbie's Cafe opened in 1972 and served a wide selection of South Texas comfort foods. Since then, four generations of family members have managed the cafe and its recent expansion.

Bobbie's will be relocating from their current and original location on South Flores to a larger space at 1922 Goliad Road. The owners, Greg and Ana Ferris, said the larger restaurant will allow them to grow and continue to serve their patrons on the south side.

"We want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication over the years. Our south-side community has been essential to our success, and we wouldn't be where we are without all of you!" Ana Ferris said.

Bobbie's will also be expanding to the north side of San Antonio, with a new location at Embassy Oaks Shopping Center. The new location is 606 Embassy Oaks, the former home to the original Magnolia Pancake Haus. In keeping with the tradition of Magnolia's, Bobbie will offer its traditional breakfast and brunch favorites.

"We couldn't be more grateful to be able to continue to serve our South Texas comfort food to San Antonio, and hopefully feed folks we've never had a chance to before," Chef Ferris said.

The Ferris' are the fourth generation of the family to own Bobbie's.

The north-side location is now open, while the south side location does not yet have an estimated opening date. Follow the restaurant's website for updates.
