UPDATE, 2:50 PM: The soft lockdown at Boerne Middle School South has been lifted.

Thursday morning, six rounds of ammunition was found in a common area on the campus of Boerne Middle School South. Parents, administration and Boerne Police were notified.
Boerne Police have begun an investigation, and the campus is currently on a soft lockdown. When a campus enters into a soft lockdown, students cannot enter or leave the campus until further notice.
Boerne Police K-9 units were at the school, Boerne ISD Public Information officer Jocelyn Durand said.
