SAN ANTONIO — Enjoy a burger, help a hero.

Bubba’s 33 has announced its locations in San Antonio and Universal City will participate in a fundraiser in partnership with Homes For Our Troops to help build specially-adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.

From Thursday, July 4 until Wednesday, July 31, Bubba’s 33 will donate $1.00 to Homes For Our Troops for every Patriot Burger purchased.

The Patriot Burger includes a BBQ burger, with a signature beef patty, a hand-battered colored ring, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayonnaise.

This year marks the 20th anniversary that the restaurant will support Homes For Our Troops, according to a press released. To date, Bubba's 33 and Texas Roadhouse have raised more than $2 million to help build homes.

This year, they celebrate the construction of the 400th home made for a severely injured veteran. The home will be donated to Marine Lance Corporal Alberto Flores Jr. and his family in New Braunfels, Texas. LCpl Flores was severely injured while serving in Iraq, resulting in the amputation of his right leg above the knee.

“This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to giving back to Veterans like LCpl Flores, who give so much for our country," said Bubba’s 33 Managing Partner, Brady Kilpatrick. "It's an honor to support our heroes and contribute to building strong communities where they can thrive.”

Below is a list of participating locations:

  • 7518 Northwest Loop 410 San Antonio, TX

  • 6930 West Loop 1604 North San Antonio, TX
