SAN ANTONIO — Camp FIMFO is located just south of the Guadalupe River and features plenty for families to enjoy, including the state's only Alpine Coaster.
"We think it’s one of the best-kept secrets in Texas," says General Manager Doran Eichenberg.
The facility was built in 2021. It has just about everything you would want for a short or long-term vacation. According to Eichenberg, it features 213 cabins, 247 RV sites and 29 tent sites.
The cabins are simple: either a two-person A-frame hut or a luxurious three-bedroom suite. They also have RV sites have full electric hookups, and campsites with access to electric.
As far as amenities go, Camp FIMFO has just about anything you would need.
You can jet down one of four monstrous waterslides, splash in any one of several pools on the property while you swim up to the bar for a cold drink. They have splash pads, tubing on their lazy river, miniature golf, hiking and biking trails, golf cart rentals and a store on the property in case you forgot something.
There's even an outdoor chapel for weddings, with the beautiful Texas Hill Country as a backdrop, and afterward a huge event center, in which to hold a reception or host any type of event.
But, if you're interested in experiencing it yourself, you better head to its website and make your reservations fast.
