SAN ANTONIO — Two pets have died in a house fire on the west side of San Antonio Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews were called out to the 300 block of Huerta Street, near Frio City Road and Brady Boulevard, around 1:45 p.m.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire in the back of the house quickly, but sadly, two cats died inside. Fire crews did rescue a third cat, which was reunited with the family that lived there.
There were no other injuries reported, but fire crews say the family will have to stay somewhere else.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
