KINNEY COUNTY, Texas — According to officials, a Texas DPS Trooper disrupted a human smuggling attempt and rescued two children on Nov. 3 in Kinney County.
A video posted by an official with the Texas Department of Safety shows the driver was carrying seven people in the vehicle including two children. Four people fled from the scene and two people were arrested.
The driver of the vehicle is from Pasadena identified as Francisco Alanis Jr is a confirmed gang member and faces charges for human smuggling, according to Texas DPS. Another passenger was arrested and is facing charges of resisting and evading arrest.
According to officials, the driver was transporting the migrants to Houston and two children ages 7 and 9 sent to California.
