Shineflew was still at the scene when police arrived and was subsequently arrested and taken to the Guadalupe County Jail, where he now faces a murder charge.

CIBOLO, Texas — A man was found fatally shot in the chest on Sunday in Cibolo, Cibolo Police say.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Shady Meadows Lane near Farm-to-Market Road 78 around 9:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

When police arrived at the location, they found an 18-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the chest lying in the street. Detectives from the Cibolo Police Department, as well as the Texas Rangers, responded to the scene.

Officers began lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene when Schertz EMS arrived.

The victim has been identified as Deshawn Shipp, 18, of Cibolo, Texas.

Police say that a group was gathered at the home when a 16-year-old girl showed up and said that she had been physically assaulted by Shipp. This led to a fight between one of the house guests and the victim, Shipp, was shot.
