Ethics Review Board to hold hearing about complaint filed against City Councilman

Local attorney Martin Phipps alleges Whyte abused his position to interfere in a private family custody matter.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Ethics Review Board will hold a hearing regarding a complaint filed against District 10 Councilman Marc Whyte.

Local attorney Martin Phipps alleges Whyte abused  his position to interfere in a private family custody matter.

That led to Bexar County Sheriff's deputies showing up to Phipps' home back in April.

Whyte says his actions were as a concerned citizen. Wednesday night, each side will have the opportunity to make opening statements and present evidence on the matter.

The hearing is set for 7 p.m.
