City of San Antonio rolls out new tool to keep residents in the know about city projects

"Transparency, accountability, accessibility, and so forth," Public Works Director Razi Hosseini said. "That's our goal."

SAN ANTONIO — Answers at your fingertips. The City of San Antonio's Public Works Department has rolled out a new tool. It is a dashboard that has information related to city projects, like streets, drainage, parks and facilities.

Public Works Director Razi Hosseini highlighted that citizens can get the answers that they want at anytime.

"Transparency, accountability, accessibility, and so forth," he said. "That's our goal. The community wants to know about our projects."

For now, it is broken down by public works projects happening across the city. The main page shows the percentage of projects done and by phase as well as the status.

"We want to make sure the community gets the project they are interested in," Hosseini said."In the privacy of their home, at night or daytime they can go and get the information."

Hosseini said there are still Phase's two and three. He said Phase Two should be done in the summer and it will include other projects. Meanwhile, he said Phase three will be done by the end of the year, and will have projects the city has done in the last five years.
