SANANTONIO-- He's sorry -- that's what David Seaton told a jury.
The former San Antonio police officer says he regrets the death caused by his excessive speed.
Seaton has been convicted of manslaughter and aggravated assault for killing officer Robert Davis. Davis was struck by Seaton s cruiser doing more than 100-miles an hour.
Seaton says a day doesn't go by that he doesn't pray for the family he hurt.
His testimony came during the punishment phase of the trial, where jurors also heard from his mother, brother and a host of fellow officers.
The jury could recommend up to life in prison for Seaton.
