SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire crews responded to a fire that sparked from a cookout on the south side of the city Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to the 1200 block of Cantrell Drive around 8:50 p.m. for a house fire.
The battalion chief on scene says a gas line broke as a woman was trying to cook a meal in her RV. This created a flash fire and singed the woman's hair before she could escape. The woman was able to leave the home before she was injured further.
The fire spread to two neighboring homes but officials say the damage was mostly contained to the outside. The RV is considered a total loss.
One person was checked out for minor burns and another was treated from injuries from a fall, but neither was transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
