SAN ANTONIO - CPS Energy unveiled a new tool that will help them reach customers faster during a moment of need.
CPS Energy’s Mobile Support Center is the first of its kind. The unit was designed to have various functions including outreach, education and also provide onsite support location to customers who are without power.
The 4 main purposes of the Mobile Support Center are:
Outreach Purposes - MSC will serve as an outdoor outreach/enrollment facility at various community events. Customers can learn about many of our programs and services we offer.
Public Safety & Education - We are committed to providing purposeful public safety education. The MSC will be used as an outdoor classroom for Students, 1st Responders and contractor education – with focus on safety education and practices
Extended Outage Response - MSC will be utilized as the site area’s command center. Customers in the area can visit the MSC for updated outage information and relief. I.e. access to charging stations, cooling comfort and customer service.
National Storm Response - MSC will be utilized as the site area’s command center in national storm response situations by our Energy Delivery Service business area
If you would like a look inside the Mobile Support Center, CPS Energy will open it up to the public three days next week.
Thursday, July 6 - St. Frances Cabrini Church – 1606 San Casimiro, 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, July 7 - Antioch Baptist Church – 1001 N. Walters, 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 8 - Salvation Army - 615 Peacock Ave., 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
