SAN ANTONIO — Fire crews worked to put out a fire at the San Antonio Men's Club on the northeast side of San Antonio Wednesday morning.
The fire started around 10 a.m. in the 8200 block of Interchange Parkway, near the intersection with I-35 and Loop 410.
Fire officials said the fire appeared to be in the roof area of the building and crews were still working to put out hot spots more than an hour after they arrived.
San Antonio Fire Department Chief Charles Hood said the building's metal roof made it difficult to fight the fire. The department called for a second alarm to bring in additional resources.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
No injuries were reported. Chief Hood said the building had been vacant for a while. The business' website says it is temporarily closed due to "some unforeseen circumstances."
This is a developing story and further details will be added as they are received.
