His charge stems from he and others stealing fuel from stations in nine different counties while often using fraudulent credit card information, officials said.

TYLER, Texas — A Dallas man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for stealing diesel fuel from multiple gas stations across Texas.

Duniesky Gonzalez, 39, pleaded guilty in April to engaging in organized criminal activity in a Smith County courtroom. On Monday, 475th District Court Judge Taylor Heaton sentenced him to 50 years in prison.

Gonzalez's charge stems from he and others stealing fuel from stations in nine different counties while often using fraudulent credit card information. He was arrested in Smith County on Jan. 27, 2023, according to the Smith County District Attorney's Office.

Assistant District Attorneys Richard Vance, Catherine McQueen and Scott Severt prosecuted the case, the DA's Office said.

"The District Attorney’s Office would like to thank Texas Comptroller Investigator Mick Kimbrow and the  investigators with the Texas Financial Crimes Intelligence Center for coordinating the investigation amongst 15 different law enforcement  agencies," the DA's Office said.
