SAN ANTONIO — You can get tasty drinks and treats this week at a fundraiser for a dance nonprofit that provides scholarships and mentoring opportunities to San Antonio dancers.

Sip & Dip for Dance is going on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at StoneWerks Grill at The Vineyard on the north side. All funds raised will do directly to the organization, Human | Artist | Dancer, for its 2025 Elevation Scholarship.

What makes Human | Artist | Dancer unique is that they provide scholarships directly to competition dancers who wish to further their dance journey into a college dance program or a professional dance career.

The application window opens in December and scholarship finalists will learn new choreography to perform at the June 2025 Elevation Gala. They will also participate in interviews and a professional development series. Owner Ronda Runnels, who runs several dance programs in San Antonio, says she started the organization after the pandemic when she realized there was a huge need in the community to help dancers.

Tickets for Sip & Dip for Dance are $60 per person and include drinks and nibbles. You can purchase tickets directly on the Human | Artist | Dancer website.

You can also keep up with updates on the application window on that website.
