Stray dogs bite two near JBSA-Lackland

Officials say what appears to be a blue heeler mix is on the loose near LeMay Estates and the golf course. Two other dogs were captured.

Dangerous dog on the loose near JBSA-Lackland, officials say

SAN ANTONIO — Officials at JBSA-Lackland are warning the public about a dangerous dog that is on the loose after two people were bitten Thursday.

Officials said a civilian woman and a JBSA firefighter were both bitten, taken in for medical treatment and released. EMS responded at about 6:20 a.m. and managed to capture two of the three strays, a small dog and a white pitbull, but a third dog is still loose. The dog appears to be a blue heeler mix, and is on the loose near LeMay Estates and the golf course, according to the post on X.

Exercise caution if you come across the dog.
