SAN ANTONIO — One person was killed and another person is in critical conditon after an accident at Loop 1604 on the northeast side Thursday, police say.
Crews responded just before 1 p.m. at Loop 1604 and Judson Road for a call for a rollover accident.
Police say the driver of a flatbed truck was going westbound when he hydroplaned in the rain and hit a highway sign. The truck then flipped over. The driver was killed and the passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Both men are in their 30s or 40s, according to officers.
Loop 1604 between Judson Road and Green Mountain Road was shut down for several hours while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
