HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The body of a man has been recovered a couple of hours after it was reported he went under water in Crosby, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
This happened Sunday at the Xtreme Off-Road Park & Beach along Gulf Pump Road, which is just off the Beaumont Highway. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, two women were having trouble in the water. A 25-year-old man who was also in the water went to help them, but then he went under, too. According to Gonzalez, that man didn’t resurface.
The man's body was recovered around 6:25 p.m. His identity is unknown at this time.
Gonzalez said the two women are safe.
