SAN ANTONIO — Dozens of fire crews responded to a downtown apartment building on Sunday night, evacuating residents and extinguishing the fire before it caused extensive damage.
Officials said a small fire started on an exterior wall of the Jones & Rio apartments, and said that it climbed from the second floor to the fourth, but only damaged one unit before they were able to put it out.
Apartment management is working with evacuated residents if they need a place to stay.
