Driver's foot gets caught on accelerator, crashes into ice cream shop

El Amigos Ice Cream shop was closed, so thankfully there were no injuries.

SAN ANTONIO — A man says he got his foot caught on the accelerator while he was parking his truck, and ended up driving into an ice cream shop on the north side of town, police say.

San Antonio Police responded to the 18300 block of Blanco Road near Loop 1604 just before 1 p.m. for reports of a vehicle crashing into a store.

When officers arrived, they found a truck had run into an ice cream shop. El Amigos Ice Cream shop was closed, so thankfully there were no injuries.

The driver also was not injured.

The damages are estimated to be around $20,000.

No word on whether any charges will be filed against the driver.
