SAN ANTONIO — A dazzling light display that entertained crowds in downtown San Antonio Tuesday night was made possible with hundreds of drones.
The spectacular show was produced by Pixis Drones and featured San Antonio-inspired imagery. It took place above the Crockett Hotel around 10:30 p.m.
The show used 300 drones which were flowed by two FAA-certified UAV drone pilots. The pilots were also supported by about a dozen people who laid out the drones on a grid ahead of the show.
While this was the only performance for the time-being in San Antonio, they will be in Texas again within a month. The company is planning a show in Amarillo for the Fourth of July holiday.
The show is produced in partnership with the Licensing Expo.
