LINDALE, Texas — East Texas native Miranda Lambert recently announced the name and release date for her upcoming 10th studio album.
Lambert, who hails from Lindale, announced on Instagram that her new album, "Postcards from Texas," will be out on Sept. 13, noting in the caption that "each song is a letter from me to you."
According to article from Rolling Stone, "Postcards from Texas," is a collection of musical snapshots from recordings at Arlyn Recording Studios in Austin that is also an ode to her home state.
The latest release comes as it's been nearly 20 years since her debut album, "Kerosene," in 2005.
“I’m still making music that could’ve been on Kerosene,” Lambert told Rolling Stone regarding her upcoming album. “I’ve evolved as an artist, but that fiery girl is still here in the forefront.”
Currently, two of the songs released for the album are "Wranglers" and “Alimony."
Some other songs a part of the 14 track album include “Armadillo," “Looking Back on Luckenbach," “Santa Fe” featuring Parker McCollum, “January Heart," "Run” and “I Hate Love Songs."
