East Texas student gets accepted into Princeton University

The school said Lennie Kiguru's acceptance to Princeton University is a culmination of years of hard work and perseverance.

BULLARD, Texas — Another East Texas student has booked their ticket to an Ivy League university. 

The Brook Hill School senior Lennie Kiguru has been accepted into the freshmen class of Princeton University. The school said Kiguru's acceptance to Princeton University is a culmination of years of hard work and perseverance.

"Lennie’s journey to Princeton University is a proud moment and a personal joy for all of us at The Brook Hill School," said Matthew Beasley, Upper School principal. "Lennie is a remarkable young man whose drive and intellect have consistently impressed us. We have every confidence that he will excel and make meaningful contributions in his studies and beyond. We eagerly anticipate the great things Lennie will achieve as he continues to grow and explore these new opportunities."

Brook Hill said in a statement that Kiguru has shown a commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service, becoming an integral part of the Brook Hill community.

"Lennie embodies the values of Brook Hill – integrity, perseverance, and service," said Ashley Bouwer, director of academic and college counseling. "His acceptance to Princeton University is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work, dedication, and leadership."
