SAN ANTONIO — Edgewood ISD said Tuesday it is delaying the start of two of their graduations over the high temperatures expected this week. This comes after similar change by another district in the San Antonio area.
Kennedy High School and Memorial High School will have their graduation ceremonies delayed by one half hour. Both graduations are expected to take place at Edgewood Veterans stadium.
Below the full schedule:
- Kennedy High School: Wednesday, June 5 at 8:30 p.m.
- Memorial High School: Thursday, June 6 at 8:30 p.m.
Edgewood ISD officials say the gates at Edgewood Veterans Stadium will open at 7:15 for families. Click here for more information on EISD graduation ceremonies.
Last week, SAISD said it would move three of their graduations this week indoors. They were previously scheduled at an outdoor venue.
