Missing 18 years | Edison High School graduate disappeared 18 years ago, his mother continues looking for answers

"I cry everyday. I cry every night, before I go to sleep," said Pastor Angela Walden.

SAN ANTONIO — March 2, 2006 is when Pastor Angela Walden's life upside down when her son James Preston Davis walked out of his mother's northeast-side home and was never seen or heard from again.

Even after 18 years, Walden says she still prays and has hope James will come home. She hopes someone watching this story can give her the answers, she so desperately seeks.

"I cry everyday. I cry every night, before I go to sleep," said Pastor Angela Walden.

Through tears, Walden shares the story of her 18 year journey spent looking for her son. James Preston Davis was last seen leaving her home on the night of March 2, 2006

"When he left the house that night, I never thought that I would never see my son again," said Walden.

Davis was a graduate of Edison High School. Walden said he was a popular student who was caring. Walden recalled one incident where he gave his bus money away to someone in need, and walked miles to get home. She says she asked him why he was walking.

"Because mom, this man, he was hungry," said Walden.

After James went missing, Walden spent months looking for him.

"I became adamant about finding my son, so I would go down to where the homeless hung out under the bridge, and I would pass out fliers by myself," said Walden.

Walden had to eventually move to Alaska to be with one of her daughters, but never lost hope of finding him.

"I would go back every year, every chance I could and look for James."

The Italian Missing Children Institute created an age progression image of what James would look like today at age 55.

Walden says James disappearance left her broken and depressed.  Over the years she says she has learned to better cope with her feelings, and finding her son would mean the world to her.  It would also give her heart some closure.

"I just want to know where he is. If he's gone someone please tell me. Let me go get him. Let me put him spiritually to rest," said Walden.
