SAN ANTONIO — A woman was hit while trying to cross a busy intersection on the city's south side Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Police said a 60-year-old woman was walking in a crosswalk between SW Military and Logwood Ave when a Chevy pickup truck struck her around 4:30p.m.
According to police the driver of the truck said she was paying attention to traffic and did not see the woman.
The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police did not say if the driver will face any charges.
The accident is under investigation.
