SAN ANTONIO — Fans, family and friends packed a premiere party Tuesday night for a new reality TV show set in San Antonio.
"We've been waiting for this moment and now it's finally here," Texicanas cast member Anayancy Nolasco said.
She’s one of the six women and a friend who make the cast of Bravo's new reality series Texicanas.
They're quick to tell you they are not the real housewives of San Antonio, but they keep it real in this season preimere. Breaking away from tradition while still embracing the Mexican-American culture, creating friendships as tight as family… but we’re told some of those bonds are tested this season.

"I see what’s going to happen and that's me, you know,” cast member Mayra Farret said. “We all have consequences for our actions, but we're adults and we always learn from what we do."
But what all the women hope is that the beautiful city of San Antonio gets the national attention it deserves.
"I hope we make them proud,” Lorena Martinez said. “They are going to see a lot of our culture, a lot of our traditions, I think it is a little bit of everything."
