Family of three displaced after house fire on the south side

Firefighters say an adult and two kids were able to get safely out of the burning home. They were not injured.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A family on the south side will have to look for a new place to stay after their home caught on fire early Monday morning.

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. on Janice Gail Street, which is just off of South Zarzamora.

Firefighters say an adult and two kids were able to get safely out of the burning home. They were not injured.

Crews were able to put out the fire, but the family of three will have to find another place to stay.

Fire crews believe the fire was started from a burning candle.

This is a developing story and further details will be added as they are received.
