SAN ANTONIO — One man is dead after a shooting on the north side, authorities say.
Police received a call around 11 p.m. for a shooting in progress at the intersection of Austin HWY and Perrin Beitel.
According to police two men got into an altercation at a bar which continued on the roadway and ended at the intersection.
When police arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Police say the man who was taken to the hospital is claiming self-defense.
Both men are believed to be in their 60's.
Police say this is an on-going investigation.
