SAN ANTONIO — A boarded-up home on the southwest side caught fire Wednesday night, according to authorities.
SAFD responded to the house located in the 600 block of Hazel Street. The house had flames coming from the back and right side. Authorities say it got into the attic and spread throughout the house.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities think there might have been squatters in the home earlier in the day.
Authorities say the fire caused about $20,000 to $30,000 worth of damage.
