SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire crews battled a small house fire on the northwest side Saturday afternoon, officials said.
Firefighters were called to a structure fire on Rimline Drive and Timber View Drive right before 1 p.m.
Officials said residents living inside the home called the fire in and were able to get out of the house safely.
According to a battalion chief at the scene, the fire started burning in a corner of the house and reportedly started shooting through the roof.
Due to the extreme heat multiple fire units were called to the scene as a precaution.
Officials said there was significant damage to the home but the house is not a complete loss.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials are still investigating what caused the fire.
