SAN ANTONIO — A residential home was destroyed in a fire Sunday afternoon, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
The fire broke out at a house in the 600 block of Lynx Mountain on San Antonio's far west side at about 6:15 p.m.
A fire department battalion chief at the scene said nobody was home at the time of the fire. One firefighter sustained a minor injury.
One dog died in the fire, but two others were saved, he said.
The home's roof collapsed and is a total loss, the battalion chief said.
The fire is believed to be accidental and is still being investigated, he said.
