SAN ANTONIO — A fire ripped through a single-story home on the southside and officials say it was reportedly a hoarding situation.
SAFD responded to reports of a structure fire around 12:26 p.m. to the 400 block of W Burcham Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, the scene was still active, however the main body of the fire had been knocked down.
Fighting the fire was made more difficult due to the hoarding situation inside.
The woman and her son who lived in the home both made it out safely. Officials say no injuries were reported and no pets were inside the home.
Firefighters believe the fire started in the back of the home.
This is a developing story.
