SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters battled a blaze in a garage at a northwest-side home early Wednesday morning.
San Antonio firefighters were dispatched to the 1800 block of Alametos near West Avenue around 1:52 a.m. for reports of a fire.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the detached garage behind the home. The garage appeared to be filled with contents.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the home, but the garage is a total loss.
No injuries were reported. And no estimate was provided on the amount of damages caused by the fire.
Investigators will be looking into the cause of the fire.
This is a developing story.
