SPACECON kicks off for the first time in SA with a celebrity guest lineup that is 'out of this world'

SAN ANTONIO — SPACECON makes its debut in the Alamo City this weekend for a three-day celebration of pop culture and nostalgia featuring a handful of actors who play some of the most beloved characters in some iconic intergalactic movies and TV shows.

The nation's newest comic convention was created by PMX, aimed at fueling the passion of fans around the world. Attendees can expect photo ops with celebrities from the likes of Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy and much more.

Some big-names on the guest list include Deadpool actor Josh Brolin, Star Wars franchise icons Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor and Rosario Dawson, who stars in the Disney+ Star Wars spin-off series "Ashoka." See the full lineup here.

There will also be celebrity panels, comic artists and illustrators, exhibitors and vendors, free arcade games, a cosplay competition and an early start to Halloween for the kids with a "Trek or Treat" Halloween candy giveaway. See the full event schedule here.

Convention-goers will get an immersive experience, getting up-close and personal with their favorite stars, voice actors and comic artists along with hundreds of exhibitors and special attractions to excite any fandom.

The affordable, family-friendly event will be held at the Freeman Expo Hall on East Houston Street from Friday through Sunday, October 25 - 27. Convention hours vary by day, find more information at the event website here.

Purchase your passes while they last. VIP admission passes are currently sold out but you can still get your hands on a 3-day multi-pass for $199 or a 1-day pass that runs between $75-$95. Kids ages 14 and under get free entry when you use the code FREEKIDS. There is also a 20% off discount for active and retired military when you use the code HERO.
