A former San Antonio Spurs player has been arrested on charges of sexual performance of a child, trafficking of persons under 18 for prostitution and sexual assault of a child.

SAN ANTONIO -- A former San Antonio Spurs player has been arrested on charges of sexual performance of a child, trafficking of persons under 18 for prostitution and sexual assault of a child.

Alvin Robertson was arrested at about 4 p.m. Friday by police in Bentonville,Ark. He is one of seven people allegedly involved in a child sex trafficking ring.

Racquel McIntosh, who reportedly is Robertson's girlfriend, also was arrested earlier.

Also under arrest are Jack August Zimmerle, Leslie Roy Campbell, Marques Abdul Callaway, Behzad Mehrinfar and Murtuza Bhavnagerwala.

The seven are charged in a case involving the kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl.

Police say she was forced into prostitution in San Antonio and other Texas cities.

Authorities also are investigating complaints the girl was forced to dance at adult clubs.

While in Corpus Christi, she broke away and flagged down an officer for help. The girl went missing last March and was held for 14 days.

The arrests and charges are the result of a three-month investigation by the Bexar County human trafficking task force and Immigration Customs Enforcement human trafficking unit.

The ongoing investigation is an example of the outstanding work that is being done by the task force, Bexar County Sheriff Amadeo Ortiz said.

Robertson, a former NBA star, has a criminal history in Bexar County that includes: assault bodily injury (7 times), no driver's license (3 times), evading (2 times), resisting arrest, criminal mischief, burglary, trespassing, telephone harassment and violating a protective order.
