Garage fire ignites in southeast-side home, authorities say

Damage was minimal and no injuries were reported. Eight residents were able to return to the home.

SAN ANTONIO — A fire at a southeast-side home ignited in a garage late Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Firefighters arrived to smoke coming from the garage of the home located in the 3700 block of Southon View. The contents fire was contained to the garage and sped up the wall. However, authorities say the fire didn't make it into the crawl space below a bedroom.

Damage was minimal and no injuries were reported. Eight residents were able to return to the home.
