SAN ANTONIO — Texas Parks and Wildlife says a part of Guadalupe River State Park will remain closed after reports of vandalism.
According to a Facebook post from the agency's official Guadalupe River State Park page, the park has experienced "recent incidents of vandalism." The post Sunday says the vandalism has set the agency back in keeping the park "a clean and safe space for everyone."
The post includes a photo of a gate at the Bauer Unit that appears to be broken and damaged. Texas Parks and Wildlife says the Bauer Unit will stay closed until further notice.

Texas Parks and Wildlife implored visitors to "work together to ensure that the park remains a place where everyone can enjoy nature at its best." The agency also indicated that the vandalism had happened at that same area before.
The agency was closed for the Labor Day holiday weekend and unable to comment further on the vandalism.
This is a developing story and further details will be added as they are received.
