SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters are working to extinguish a fire at a building just west of downtown that began early Wednesday morning.
San Antonio firefighters responded to the 800 block of Buena Vista Street near South Salado just before 6 a.m. for reports of heavy flames and black smoke at a warehouse at the location.

Cold King, a refrigerator and freezer supply warehouse, was destroyed by the fire, according to Woody Woodward, SAFD spokesman.
Officials say that one man was actually inside the building when the fire started, and was able to make it out safely before the building was destroyed. The owner of the building said the man had permission to be there.
No word on if he may have been responsible for the fire.
This is a developing story.
