NEW BRAUNFELS -- Joshua Davis Jr. would be six years old, in the 1st grade and a big brother to his baby sister, living at home.

However, that's not the reality the family faces because he vanished when he was just 2 years old.

Four years later, the pain is still there but, the family says, their hope is stronger than ever.

"Birthdays and holidays, they still hurt," said Natalie Vargas, Joshua's grandmother. "I believe soon Joshua will be home."

Joshua Davis Jr. vanished from his family's home in the 2600 block of Savannah Hills Circle in New Braunfels. Sabrina, his mom, is convinced someone took her son.

"If you're scared to come forward, drop him off somewhere," pleaded Sabrina.

The family has managed to stay strong, especially for Joshua's two younger siblings, whom he never met.

Little Jai'Lanni is a perfect reflection of her brother, his parents and grandparents say. "We don't want them to forget him," said Vargas.

So, the family speaks about him every day to all his three of his siblings. They shares pictures and still celebrate his birthday.

"And when he does return home they will know this is Joshua this is who we were celebrating," said Vargas.

A family friend made a blanket with Joshua's pictures. Sabrina plans on hanging it in Jai'Lanni's bedroom.

"Every time you see there is a child missing or somebody has been returned home you're happy for them of course but it still brings back the hurt because we know that Joshua is still not with us," said Vargas. "Someone out there knows where he is."

"I love him," said Sabrina through tears. "Just do the right thing bring him home."
