SAN ANTONIO — Three San Antonio locations are on the chopping block as part of the company's recent bankruptcy filing, a CNN report shows. This comes weeks after a south-side location already closed back in May.
CNN reports Red Lobster wants to close several dozen more restaurants following its bankruptcy, and has a list of which ones are in danger of shutting down if the court approves its plan.
Basically, the bankruptcy plan is to sell its business to its lenders and receive funding in exchange to stay afloat. To make that plan work, it would need to close some of the nearly 600 locations, CNN reported.

Back in May, the Southeast Military Drive location of Red Lobster permanently closed and its contents were put up for auction. That was part of a closure of more than 50 locations nationwide ahead of its bankruptcy filing. The new locations listed are in danger of closing if the company cannot renegotiate their leases.
Around Texas, the possible closures also include one location in Corpus Christi, several in North Texas, and one in Houston.
