Home on far west side of town destroyed by fire, SAFD says

Firefighters arrived and found flames coming from the garage and also smoke from the eaves of the house.

SAN ANTONIO — A home on the far west side of town was destroyed by a fire early Tuesday morning, officials say.

San Antonio firefighters responded to the 10400 block of Culebra Road around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a home on fire.

Firefighters arrived to flames at a house located behind a restaurant. The Fire Chief believes the home might belong to the restaurant. Nobody was inside the home at the time.

Officials say the electricity was hooked up and the gas was connected to a propane tank.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is now under investigation by fire investigators. Officials say the home is a total loss.

This is a developing story.
