SAN ANTONIO — A major motor vehicle accident involving horses caused multiple lane closures in Medina County Friday morning, authorities say.

Emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident on Hwy 90 near FM 1343 that involved two horses that had been struck by several vehicles, according to a Facebook post by county officials.

The crash caused both inside east and westbound lanes to close while crews try to clear the scene.

Authorities warn drivers with small children to consider using another route due to the graphic nature of the scene.
