SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police detained more than a dozen people at a west side home Thursday night and one person was taken to the hospital, according to officials.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Thursday at a home on Buena Vista near South Zarzamora.
Police say they found out about the home when they were called in to assist investigators with homeland security. Witnesses say officers used flash bang grenades at the home when people inside didn't respond to commands to exit and surrender.
Officials say about 15 people were detained and being separated as suspects and victims. Investigators say they believe those arrested were trafficking people inside the home.
Police identified them as a group with the ages ranging from 20-30 years old from Mexico.
SAPD says one person was taken to the hospital for a stress-related condition.
