It's a sad day for San Antonio.
The iconic Mailbu Castle said in a statement Saturday that it will be closing its doors after nearly 40 years of business in the Alamo City.
According to the statement, park operators decided to shut the business down, rather than renew the lease to the land the park sits on. The business will officially be closing on Monday September 7.
"It has been my pleasure to help make memories for the families here in San Antonio and surrounding areas. I cherish my memories, too, having worked here for 17 years. I have enjoyed each and every day. Let's keep having fun in San Antonio," said Dwayne Devol, General Manager. "GO, SPURS, GO!" he added.
Until the day they close, the park will be offering an 'All Day Unlimited Attractions Pass' for $19.78, which is the year it opened.
