SAN ANTONIO — A man who may have had too much to drink was hospitalized after he fell off the roof of a restaurant on the River Walk late Saturday night, according to police.
San Antonio Park Police were called around 10:30 p.m. to a restaurant in the 500 block of the River Walk for reports of a belligerent customer. The restaurant was not identified by police.
Staff at the restaurant told officers the man made his way up to the rooftop through a restricted area that was closed to the public.
The man tried to access the fire escape and ended up falling onto the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, police said.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not say if the man will face any charges.
This investigation remains ongoing.
