An 18-wheeler crash caused major problems for some northeast San Antonio travelers Tuesday morning.
The rig jackknifed on Eastbound Loop 1604 at Green Mountain Road around 2:45 a.m., said San Antonio police.
The driver was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of the rig, before striking a concrete divider in the area and destroying a portion it.
Two cars then crashed into the rig and a third veered off the road and crashed into a grassy median, said police.
Luckily no one was seriously hurt in the accident. One woman was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution, said police.
All eastbound lanes and the access road were closed while crews cleared the scene. Traffic was backed up for miles until the highway reopened around 7:30 a.m.
